Duke University Hospital has 957 inpatient beds and offers comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic facilities, including a regional emergency/trauma center; a major surgery suite containing 51 operating rooms; an endo-surgery center; an Ambulatory Surgery Center with nine operating rooms and an extensive diagnostic and interventional radiology area. In fiscal year 2018, Duke University Hospital admitted 42,916 patients and had 1,085,740 outpatient visits in fiscal year 2017. Shifts: Day/Night Rotation: 7a - 7p/7p - 7a (Full-Time) Ideal Candidate: Dependable Great Customer Service Skills Technology Savvy Honest Responsibilities: Performs a variety of activities related to the screening of patients/visitors and employees. Greet and execute screening process for patient/visitors/employees at hospital and clinics as directed. Screeners are responsible for ensuring that the patients/visitors/employees are protected through the COVID screening process. The screener obtains relevant information as it pertains to patients/visitors and employees COVID symptoms and exposure status. Follow standard precautions and use personal protective equipment as required. Instructs patient/visitors and employees on the appropriate hand hygiene and masking expectations. Perform verification of appointments for patient/visitors and employees visiting hospital and clinics Direct patients/visitors to appointments if needed Perform other related dutier incidental to work described herein Observe staff to assure proper PPE compliance Participate in own professional development by maintaining required skills validation and attending educational offerings. Minimum Qualifications: Education Work requires the ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions generally acquired through a partial high school education.
