Details Posted: January 7, 2021 Location: Palm Springs, California Show Map Salary: Open Discipline: Allied Health Desert Regional Medical Center is a 385 bed acute-care hospital classified as a stroke receiving center and level 2 trauma facility with an innovative , patient centered and evidence-based Rehabilitation Services Department. Our compassionate team provides a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services, including acute care rehabilitation,joint replacement & spinal surgery, neurosurgery, ICU, Telemetry, step-down care, skilled nursing, as well as outpatient therapy, hand and lymphedema clinics.Position Overview:Under the supervision of the Radiologist, the Radiologic Technologist shall provide radiographic services to patients. The technologist shall operate imaging equipment, develop film, prepare radiographic exam rooms, and maintain equipment & supplies. The technologist shall provide imaging service utilizing various modalities and in multiple environments including the Operating Suites, the Patient Room, the Emergency Department and in the Department of Radiology. The radiology technologist's performance and behavior shall be both reflective and supportive of the Mission Statement and Core Values of the hospital. Demographic information, limited Patient Health Information related to job function.Department Specific Duties:Properly establish/confirm patient identity and verifies physician order. Obtains relevant patient history.Educate patient and explain procedure.Transfer patient to table and position patient for exam.Be proficient with all department equipment and systems. Able to input information accurately in the Phillips system, GEMnet, MAC lab, Angiojet, IVUS. Able to perform retrieval of old studies. Able to burn studies. Assist physician as a scrub tech during procedures.Perform weekly fluoro checks.Transport patients.Continually display professional communication skills and behavior towards all patients, family members and staff members.Adhere to all department and hospital policies, including but not limited to; time and attendance, dress codes, KRONOS, universal precautions, documentation of credentials, and maintain current CEU�s.Other duties as requested by manager.Ordering and maintenance of supplies.Assist with clerical duties, i.e., charging, scheduling, answering telephones and coordinating exams with other departments.Qualifications:Position Qualifications:Graduate of an accredited two year school of Radiologic TechnologyARRT CertifiedCertified Radiologic Technologist (State License)Radiologic Technologist Fluoroscopy PermitEffective communication and interpersonal skills required to interact with patients, physicians, visitors, and other staff members. Current American Heart Association BLS Certification required (maintain current at all times).
