Details Posted: January 7, 2021 Location: Edina, Minnesota Show Map Salary: Open Discipline: Allied Health Overview M Health Fairview is looking for a CT Technologist at Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina, MN. We are known for our award-winning heart, stroke and cancer care. Imaging Technologists provide services to patients and physicians through the creation of high quality diagnostic imaging, provides quality age-appropriate patient care according to established standards of practice, and works collaboratively with all members of the health care team. Responsibilities/Job Description This is a casual position, that would support team vacations and absences, while still maintaining access and services to our patients. Casual employment is a minimium of one shift per month and one holiday per year. Southdale offers 24/7 Imaging services to Inpatient Units and Emergency patients. We have outpatient access seven days a week. The position in the CT department would offer imaging care to in-patients, out-patients and emergent patients. The technologists work collaboratively within the Imaging team and amongst varying levels of clinical practitioners. The CT technologist will provide imaging services to a wide variety of examinations from Neuro, Body, Muskuloskeletal, & Vascular. The CT Technologist duties include: Performs individualized, compassionate patient care. Performs high quality examinations. Identifies relevant data from images accurately. Uses appropriate communication skills to meet patient/family, and other customer needs. Communicates pertinent data clearly to the appropriate health care professional. Participates in creating a culture of patient safety. Demonstrates knowledge of emergency preparedness. Verify patient identification and documentation. Communicate with and educate patient regarding pertinent information during all aspects of exam. Achieves quality diagnostic images through correct patient positioning and use of technical factors according to protocol. Ensures patient data integrity. Adheres to radiologic safety guidelines and diagnostic testing protocols/procedures. Accurately documents in compliance with regulatory agency requirements, completes computer functions, edits, scheduling, and billing status changes. Follows infection control guidelines. Serves as a resource for other healthcare team members. Responds appropriately to emergent situations. Accurate image marking and digital image manipulation and archiving. Qualifications Required: ARRT Current BLS from American Red Cross or American Heart Association Preferred: Advanced CT certification or certification iof advanced CT within 18 months of hire.
