Details Posted: January 5, 2021 Location: Burnsville, Minnesota Show Map Salary: Open Discipline: Allied Health Overview The Emergency Department at Fairview Ridges (Burnsville, MN) is a 45 bed unit, serving patients of all ages, from pediatrics to adults, and incorporates a multidisciplinary approach to all emergencies. The transport aide will work on an interdisciplinary team of Board Certified/Eligible ED Physicians, RNs, ER Techs, Health Unit Coordinators, and Transport Aides. Position is benefit eligible ! Schedule: The schedule will consist of an every other weekend commitment along with rotating holidays. Week 1 Monday: 8:30a-5p Wednesday: 8:30a-5p Thursday: 8:30a-5p Week 2 Monday: 8:30a-5p Wednesday: 8:30a-5p Friday: 8:30a-5p Saturday: 8:30a-5p Sunday: 8:30a-5p Responsibilities/Job Description The transport aide facilitates the care of the Emergency Department patients receiving ancillary department services including: transporting patients to Radiology, delivering specimens to the Laboratory, delivering and retrieving materials. The Transport Aide will also stock supplies and maintain cleanliness of the Emergency Department. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Must be able to work in a fast paced environment, multi-task, take direction, and be organized. Must be able to lift/push patients to and from the ER department. Requires ability to provide written validation of current BLS competency (basic life support for providers) Preferred Qualifications: Completion of nursing assistant or emergency medical tech (EMT) coursework Certified Nursing Assistant or Emergency Room Technician certification Prefer experience as a PCA, PCT, or EMT.
