Details Posted: January 4, 2021 Location: Sacramento, California Show Map Salary: 30.00/Hour - 50.00/Hour DOE Type: Full Time - Experienced Discipline: Allied Health Certifications ARDMS RVT: Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) Sacramento Heart & Vascular Medical Associates is one of Northern California’s foremost specialty groups in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease. We have an immediate opening for a full-time Vascular Technologist, seeking employment in a fast-paced environment. This position works out of the main office (centrally located in Sacramento, CA). Role and Responsibilities: Perform and produce two-dimensional ultrasonic recording and Doppler flow analyses of the arterial and venous systems for use by physician in diagnosis of vascular disease in accordance with established practices and procedures. Provide preliminary diagnostic evaluation and notify Cardiologists of examination results. Consult with Cardiologist to establish requirements for non-standard examinations and determine technical factors to satisfy requirements. Explains procedures to patients to obtain cooperation and reduce anxiety. Obtains and records adequate patient history and identifying information. Performs proper vascular ultrasound examination, following the guideline of the written protocols; performs the necessary tests ordered. Records examination on videocassette, properly labeled to become part of the patient’s permanent medical record. Prepares preliminary report and reviews test results with the interpreting physician. Participates in educational programs. Attends required meeting and participates in committees as requested. Participates in professional development activities and maintains professional affiliations. Maintains patient confidentiality. Performs related required work. Performs duties as deemed necessary by manager. Provide excellent patient care. Ability to work independently with excellent patient skills. Local regional travel may be required. Qualifications and Education Requirements: Must be ARDMS certified RVT or RVT eligible with a minimum of 3-5 years of related experience. ICAVL accreditation experience required. Responsible for maintenance of ICAVL accreditation and ensuring operational compliance of guidelines and protocols. Must have and maintain CPR certification. Satisfactory completion of ultrasound program from an accredited institution. Familiarity with GES6, Vivid 7 , Vivid Q and the Vivid I, desirable. Physical Requirements: Frequently requires the full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patients. Manual and finger dexterity and hand eye coordination required. Lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds.
