Details Posted: November 21, 2019 Location: Portland, Maine Show Map Type: Full Time - Experienced Discipline: Allied Health Required Education: 2 Year Degree Diagnostic Medical Sonographer and Ultrasonographers Maine Medical Center and Maine Medical Partners Portland, ME Multiple Positions Maine Medical Center and Maine Medical Partners are seeking a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer and Ultrasonographers in the Portland area. These positions consist of complex clinical diagnostic work performing ultrasound procedures for use in the evaluation and treatment of patients. Maine Medical Center (Portland, ME): Diagnostic Medical Sonographer – Full Time, Nights Qualifications: Completion of an approved program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography. 6 to 12 months of experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Knowledge of ultrasound techniques, procedures and equipment as well as ability to identify pathologies. Analytical ability to identify and characterize pathology, appropriately image pathology and identify areas requiring further testing. Must analyze quality of scan. Ability to communicate effectively with patients and Radiologist when undergoing and discussing such procedures. Maine Medical Partners (South Portland, ME): Ultrasonographer (Urology) – Part Time, Days Maine Medical Partners (Portland, ME): Ultrasonographer (OB/GYN) – Full Time, Days Qualifications: Education meeting requirements set forth by The American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) to gain eligibility for Registry Examinations. OB/GYN credentialed by the ARDMS. If eligible, but not registered at time of employment, registration to be achieved within one year of hire date. Nuchal translucency certified. If not certified at time of employment, certification to be achieved within one year of hire date. Continuing medical education credits as required to maintain registry status through the ARDMS. Skills in gathering and analyzing patient data and experience working with computers. Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational and analytical skills and techniques.
