Summary:
Directs the department's activities and resources to ensure alignment with the mission, values, and objectives of the department and organization.

Position Details:

FTE Status: Full Time days 80 hours/pay period

Responsibilities:
Oversees a multi-modality imaging center with radiography, vascular, nuclear cardiology, ultrasound, MRI, PET-CT, CT, mammography and DEXA. Responsible for the performance of these services and departments through the management of employees, identification of and response to changing market conditions, and by ensuring compliance with accrediting and regulatory requirements. Monitors and enforces radiation safety compliance measures.

Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.

Directs and evaluates departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives.

Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives. Prepares, monitors, and evaluates departmental budgets, and ensures that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding. Coordinates and directs internal/external audits.

Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision.  Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree.
• Graduate of an accredited Imaging program. 
• Registered Radiologic Technologist
• 5 years relevant imaging experience to include management of personnel, budgets and physician relations.

Preferred:

• Master's degree.
